Who we are and what that has to do with filter systems!

Behind the products of the HIGHFIL filter systems and pumps, stands the Wiremesh-ProTec GmbH. We are a globally operating medium-sized company and are located centrally in the heart of Europe (www.wiremesh-protec.de).

Our company has many years of experience in the field of filter technology. Through our experienced team, consisting of engineers, technicians and skilled workers, we can offer a wide range of filter media.

Our high-quality and durable products are manufactured using state-of-the-art production technology and cutting edge technology. Through constant innovation, we provide for our continuous and successful further development.

In addition to conventional industrial filter technology, we have been offering HIGHFIL filter systems for applications in water treatment since 2010, and since 2016 we have also included the HIGHFIL high-performance energy-saving pump in our portfolio.

Every product has a history and our HIGHFIL filter systems likewise have their unique own history.

In 2009, a good friend of our company came up with the idea; namely to develop a filter system for water treatment, especially for Koi ponds, as there has hitherto been no ideal filter solution available for this area. We thereby found in the person of Wladimir Weiß, a very gifted and highly motivated mechanical engineer, who enthusiastically accepted this task as part of his thesis at the company JHT Jakobs-Houben-Technologie. The result was a lively project between us, in particular our pond experts and Mr. Weiß, who from then on spent many hours at the pond with the first pilot system.

In March 2010 it was finally time for the long awaited moment, Mr. Weiß finished his degree thesis with flying colours and our innovative HIGHFIL (High Filtration) filter system was shortly afterwards ready for use at the facilities of our first customers (with Koi and swimming ponds). In addition to a new product, we also won over a new employee, Mr. Weiß, who is since then responsible for the HIGHFIL division in our company and for the advancing of further developments.

All HIGHFIL products are “Made in Germany”; they are manufactured here in our production in Hückelhoven. We are proud of the fact that we have already delivered over 200 filter systems and over 250 pumps to our customers. So far, our products are in use in Germany, England, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Malaysia; and our first European HIGHFIL sales centre is being planned.
